Profile of Fred Vargas
There's a profile of my new favourite crime novelist Fred Vargas in this weekend's Guardian. Click here to read it. I promise a post soon on why I'm so taken with her Commissaire Adamsberg novels.

Oh, yes, another Vargas fan! I love her, she writes perfectly. It was a long time that I hadn't read anything so good as long as mistery novels go. Maybe from Pennac? I must have a thing for the French. No, ok, Camilleri is good too.
But Vargas has something else. A a joke, i always say thet she own me her italian success. Absolutely anyone I lent her books too, became a huge fan!
PS, I love your blog
Caterina
Caterina, it's a pleasure to make the acquaintance of a fellow Vargas fan! I haven't read either Pennac or Camilleri, but if you recommend them, I'll give then a try. I picked up a Camilleri novel at the library today and I'm looking forward to diving in.
