    I love the Little House books! Have you read West From Home, a book of wonderful letters between Laura and her journalist daughter, Rose, and "Manny" (Laura's husband)? Thanks for linking to the article about the Wilder women.

    Thanks for posting this Kate. I've always loved the Laura Ingalls Wilder books and could never work out why the final book was so sad and somehow out of keeping with the others. Thanks to this article I now know.
