He doesn't believe in managing time, but in managing actions. He does believe however in staying abreast of all your commitments to yourself, and reviewing them. That is his conclusion from the understanding that time is finite but work infinite; his purpose as he puts it is for us to feel ok about what we're not doing. The way to do that isn't to manage time, but to review what he calls open loops and say to ourselves, "It's OK that I'm not doing that today."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13774780.post-87086418600218628792007-03-08T04:50:00.000-05:002007-03-08T04:50:00.000-05:00I have to print this post and wonderful quote, so ...I have to print this post and wonderful quote, so that it stays right by me!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13774780.post-68090650493265094652007-03-07T10:30:00.000-05:002007-03-07T10:30:00.000-05:00That is pretty brilliant--the kind of thing that s...That is pretty brilliant--the kind of thing that seems so simple, except you didn't think of it.mary grimmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04294368835776483342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13774780.post-9035569112116729812007-03-06T15:17:00.000-05:002007-03-06T15:17:00.000-05:00This is brilliantly written, and I agree completel...This is brilliantly written, and I agree completely. So obviously true, yet at times so essential to have it pointed out. We just need to set aside those decreed hours, and the work will happen. Maybe not all of it, but some, but some.j-lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15332251772933635958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13774780.post-84664838206607158692007-02-26T20:17:00.000-05:002007-02-26T20:17:00.000-05:00Thanks for posting that - sometimes the most simpl...Thanks for posting that - sometimes the most simple concepts can be the most profound.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13774780.post-35674632786944565822007-02-26T19:44:00.000-05:002007-02-26T19:44:00.000-05:00Work is infinite; time is finite.
